The national pencak silat squad ended the 2019 season on a high note by winning four gold medals at the fifth edition of the Asian Pencak Silat Championship. They also swept eight silvers and eight bronzes in the team event that ended on Sunday in Yanji, China. Champ Faizul knocked out and ends up in hospital

IT was a SEA Games to forget for defending champion Mohd Faizul Mohd Nasir. The national pencak silat exponent Faizul had a stroke of bad luck when he was injured in the face while sparring against Filipino Dines Dumaan in the second round of the Putra B class (50-55kg) at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Centre.
